About My Clients
Through a collaborative process, I conduct psychological assessment for various challenges, including neuropsychological testing of attention and concentration, focus, memory, impulsivity, decision-making, social difficulty, and executive functioning. Whether you are working with a therapist and would like diagnostic clarity or want improved self-awareness for personal growth, I welcome inquiries from individuals seeking integrative assessment and therapeutic care.
My Background and Approach
I have over 12 years of experience in a private practice setting where I've helped individuals and couples through difficult life chapters, including emotional distress related to past trauma, grief and loss, major life changes, identity concerns, loneliness, illness, and relationship conflicts. My work involves conducting thorough assessment services, as well as providing emotionally-focused, insight-based psychotherapy (online and in-person). My therapeutic specialization ranges from existential, psychodynamic psychology to practical interventions stemming from cognitive behavioral, mindfulness-based, and somatic methods.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
I am an advocate for diversity in the broadest sense, and have worked for the past 25 years in mental health settings helping people from marginalized, underrepresented communities, including 8 years of combined work in urban community mental health. I have training and interest in ecopsychology, cultural psychology, ethology, and comparative philosophy. I actively enjoy and support the arts, local music, a free press, and our shared collective spaces.
