About My Clients

I work with individuals from all backgrounds, offering a safe space for self-exploration and healing. I am particularly passionate about supporting marginalized populations, including Black, POC, and LGBTQ+ individuals, who face unique challenges related to identity and societal pressures. My goal is to provide compassionate care, helping clients navigate their struggles, build resilience, and create lasting, positive change in their lives.

My Background and Approach

I hold a BA and MA in Psychology, along with a Psy.D. in Clinical Psychology and training as a post-doctoral clinician. My approach integrates humanistic, psychodynamic, and Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) to support clients in achieving lasting change. From a humanistic perspective, I prioritize creating a safe, non-judgmental space where clients can explore their authentic selves. I believe in unconditional positive regard, empathy, and empowering clients to reach their fullest potential. Through psychodynamic therapy, I help clients explore past experiences and unconscious patterns that influence current behavior. This approach is especially valuable for those navigating deep emotional issues or the effects of systemic oppression. I also incorporate CBT techniques to offer practical tools for managing anxiety, depression, and stress. My goal is to combine insight with action, helping clients build resilience and healthier ways of thinking

My Personal Beliefs and Interests

I was raised in a Christian environment and have since deconstructed my beliefs, embracing a more spiritual and open-minded approach to life. This journey has deepened my understanding of the complexities of faith, spirituality, and personal growth. I honor each individual's unique spiritual path, whether they identify as Christian, follow another religion, or have no belief system at all. My approach is centered on respecting and validating your personal beliefs and experiences, without judgment. I believe that spirituality can be a powerful tool for healing and self-discovery, and I am here to support you in exploring your own spiritual journey in whatever form it takes. Whether you're navigating faith transitions, questioning beliefs, or seeking guidance on your spiritual path, I offer a compassionate, open space for you to explore these aspects of your identity.
