About My Clients
CBT for Better Living is a private group practice that sees people in-person in NY and CT and virtually in NY, CT, NJ, FL, and TX. I primarily work with people struggling with anxiety and OCD—those stuck in cycles of worry, rumination, or rituals and wanting clarity and change. Many of my clients are seeking a different relationship with their thoughts and emotions. Together, we use curiosity, mindfulness, and self-compassion to loosen fear’s grip and reconnect with what matters most.
My Background and Approach
I earned my Psy.D. in Clinical Psychology from Widener University, with specialized training in health psychology and chronic pain. My clinical background spans medical settings, college counseling, and community mental health. I practice evidence-based therapies such as CBT, ERP, and ACT to reduce suffering, increase flexibility, and build practical coping skills. I also integrate mindfulness and self-compassion practices to strengthen mind-body awareness—especially valuable for clients coping with anxiety or chronic pain. I see somatic-based tools as empowering ways to reconnect with parts of ourselves that may feel overlooked or out of control. My therapeutic style is collaborative, warm, and validating. I pay close attention to how past and present relationship patterns may surface in daily life and within the therapy room itself, helping clients gain deeper insight while feeling supported and understood.
