Having trained for 14 years in sleep medicine and sleep hygiene, I have found that so many emotional and relational challenges become manageable when more and better sleep have been achieved.

I have helped hundreds to develop resilience in the face of stress, with a range of cognitive, behavioral, and mind-body techniques proven that use the power and comfort of calmness as a buffer against the toxic effects of stress.

Solution focused brief therapy (SFBT) is a future-oriented, goal-directed approach to solving problems in living. My focus is on your health rather than the problem, on your strengths rather than weaknesses or deficits, and on your skills, resources and coping abilities that will help in reaching future goals.

I am trained and licensed in Marriage and Family Therapy. When not working with individuals I see couples, married or not, straight or otherwise. Perhaps the most frequent challenge I encounter is a pattern of frequent arguing, usually with unhappy endings. I empower couples to identify behaviors that lead to escalation, and to become more strategic in their actions and words. This most often enables couples to prevent arguments before they occur. This is far preferable to "fighting fair."
