About My Clients
I work with veterans, first responders, and adults experiencing PTSD, anxiety, depression, stress, and major life transitions. Many have spent years caring for others while neglecting their own well-being. I provide a practical, supportive, and judgment-free environment where we can build coping skills, process difficult experiences, and develop strategies to help you regain confidence, stability, and a renewed sense of purpose.
My Background and Approach
I am a Virginia Resident in Counseling practicing under clinical supervision with over 30 years of military service, experience supporting veterans, and more than a decade of teaching and mentoring adults. My approach is practical, collaborative, and trauma-informed. I work primarily with veterans, first responders, and adults experiencing PTSD, anxiety, depression, stress, and major life transitions. Together, we will build coping skills, identify strengths, and develop strategies that promote resilience, emotional well-being, and lasting personal growth in a supportive and judgment-free environment.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
I believe effective counseling is built on trust, respect, compassion, and authenticity. Throughout my military, federal, and educational careers, I have been committed to serving others and helping people navigate challenges, build resilience, and discover their strengths. I value creating a welcoming, judgment-free environment where individuals from diverse backgrounds feel heard, respected, and supported. My goal is to help clients develop practical skills, improve emotional well-being, and move forward with greater confidence and purpose. Outside of counseling, I enjoy spending time with family, mentoring others, and supporting veterans and my local community. I believe healing often begins by taking one small step at a time and recognizing that meaningful growth is possible at every stage of life.
