My Background and Approach
My training and experience has taught me the many ways to show up for clients, undo aloneness and promote the best parts of living. Through a supportive process we generate an individualized treatment plan entrenched in collaboration and a felt sense of connection and safety. I strive for self-reflection as a practitioner and as a person, I strive to hold an anti-racist, affirming, inclusive therapeutic container to contextualize individual experiences. I am a consummate student seeking to understand the human condition in all its forms and to undo aloneness whenever possible. The time together is collaborative, non-judgmental and connected. Being alive and conscious in this world is hard. I cannot pretend to know you or what you need to hear to reach out, but you can be certain I wish to know; to understand, to be a seed of compassion and change. My Personal Beliefs and Interests
I believe in the power of people. The ability that new and novel relationships, and ways of relating to each other, heal the wounds of living. I believe in the ability to thrive and that the human psyche in all its complexities is designed for repair, connection and meaning. There is no greater power than the sound of two people trying figure to out how one can live the life which awaits them outside the confines of internalized pain and shame. I am a white, heteronormative cis-gendered female who is active in keeping race, gender, identity and privilege front and center of mind especially in white spaces and notwithstanding the therapy container which is fraught with footprints of white organizational structure and oppression.
