About My Clients
My clients are often driven, intelligent, and introspective, yet struggle with anxiety, burnout, perfectionism, relationship challenges, or unhealthy coping strategies. I also work with teens and young adults who struggle with anxiety, ADHD, OCD, self harm, eating disorders, and addiction.
My Background and Approach
I am a licensed psychologist (CA PSY20050) since 2004 and hold a Dual PhD in Clinical Psychology and Industrial-Organizational Psychology. This unique combination allows me to help clients navigate both personal and professional challenges- whether that’s reducing anxiety, improving relationships, or handling complex workplace dynamics. My therapeutic style blends mindfulness based cognitive behavioral therapy with coaching. I focus on teaching skills for emotion regulation, distress tolerance, and effective communication while also exploring deeper patterns that may be holding you back. I have advanced training in cognitive and dialectical behavioral therapy as well as postdoctoral expertise in personality disorders, self-injury, and suicidality. I provide ADHD testing and executive functioning assessments for adults and children, helping clients identify challenges and create personalized toolkits for improvement.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
I believe therapy should help you both understand yourself and make real changes in your life. Insight without action can leave you feeling stuck—so I work to balance reflection with practical strategies you can use immediately. I have a deep interest in integrating modern psychology with ancient wisdom, especially mindfulness and dialectical thinking, which is the ability to hold two truths at once. I also believe in the healing power of self-compassion and curiosity. Outside of my professional life, I enjoy song writing and playing guitar, wandering through San Francisco's Chinatown, spending time in the redwood forest, and exploring the connection between creativity and well-being.
