About My Clients
Clients that seek me out are folks who are looking for a safe place to discuss and explore their challenges and receive support and build empowerment. I work with adults, adolescents, and couples from a variety of cultural identities. I work from a social justice and trauma-informed lens and provide culturally responsive therapy that is tailored to the needs of the client. My clients describe me as warm, engaging and supportively challenging, and they say they feel held and supported in therapy.
My Background and Approach
I am a licensed clinical psychologist working primarily with clients in Virginia, Washington, D.C., and New York. Through the Psychology Interjurisdictional Compact (PSYPACT), I can provide teletherapy to clients in 35+ states. Before opening my own practice, I worked with individuals and couples at a private practice in Northern Virginia, and before that at Swarthmore College’s Counseling and Psychological Services. I also have experience working with clients in outpatient and inpatient hospitals, community mental health clinics, other college counseling centers and private practices, and a private school. I specialize in working with anxiety, depression, trauma, relational concerns, multicultural issues, and adjustment and life transition challenges with adults, adolescents, and couples from a variety of cultural identities. Based on the needs of the client, I integrate various approaches and tailor the therapy to the client.
