Eye movement desensitization and reprocessing (EMDR) and Brainspotting are evidence based form of psychotherapy designed to treat trauma and reduce negative emotions, anxiety, and patterns & behaviors associated with traumatic events.

CBT treatment involves efforts to change thinking patterns.
