About My Clients
I work with trauma survivors, couples, children, and teens facing family conflict and emotional overwhelm. I also specialize in high-acuity mental health, including bipolar with psychosis, schizophrenia, and borderline personality disorder. My clients want stability, understanding, and practical tools to feel safe, connected, and supported.
My Background and Approach
I hold a Doctorate in Clinical Social Work and specialize in trauma, family conflict, and relationship repair. As the author of The Relationship Operating System and the forthcoming Uncoupling, I bring a structured, compassionate approach to understanding patterns and rebuilding emotional safety. I’m trained in TF-CBT and C-DBT, with extensive experience in ACEs, generational trauma, and high-acuity mental health, including bipolar with psychosis, schizophrenia, and borderline personality disorder. I help couples, children, and individuals regulate emotions, improve communication, and develop healthier ways of relating. My style is warm, grounding, and practical, focused on clarity, connection, and meaningful, sustainable change.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
I believe we become who we are by watching the people who raised us. Our earliest relationships teach us how to communicate, cope, love, and protect ourselves. When those early experiences are disrupted—through trauma, chaos, or unmet emotional needs—they often reappear later as conflict, anxiety, or patterns that feel impossible to break. My core belief is that what we see on the surface is rarely the true problem. I work by “chunking down” issues to understand the root wound or unmet need beneath the behavior. When we address the underlying story rather than the symptom, people develop clarity, compassion for themselves, and the ability to build healthier relationships and emotional patterns.
