About My Clients
While I work with a variety of diagnoses and presenting problems, I have specialized training and experience working with those who suffer from alcohol or substance use dependence. I work closely with the family in developing behavior management plans to decrease problem behaviors and promote recovery from substance use.
My Background and Approach
I believe in bringing a holistic approach to treatment, combining a broad array of evidence-based strategies such as mindfulness and meditation to help ameliorate symptoms. I enjoy seeing my clients flourish and maintain their gains as they incorporate new insights and strategies learned on their therapeutic journey with me.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
I am an existential psychotherapist who believes that its more important to help clients with distress and suffering that comes from difficult life circumstances than using diagnostic labels and terms such as "mental illness".
