Clinical Social Worker in Tampa, FL

About My Clients

I work with adults and couples who feel stuck — whether from past trauma, anxiety that won't quiet down, PTSD, or relationship patterns that keep repeating. My clients are often high-functioning people who look fine on the outside but are exhausted on the inside. Many have tried talk therapy before and want something that goes deeper. I welcome clients of all backgrounds, identities, and orientations in a judgment-free space.

My Background and Approach

I'm a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) with a background in trauma-informed care and evidence-based treatment. I completed my EMDR Basic Training through an EMDRIA-approved program and am an active EMDRIA member committed to bringing effective, modern trauma treatment to Tampa and beyond. My approach centers on EMDR therapy — a well-researched method that helps the brain reprocess stuck memories and reduce their emotional charge. I combine EMDR with elements of CBT, somatic awareness, and attachment-based work, depending on each client's needs. I don't believe in a one-size-fits-all model. Sessions are collaborative, paced to your comfort, and grounded in genuine respect for your experience. My goal is to help you reach meaningful relief — not just manage symptoms, but actually feel different. I work with anxiety, PTSD, phobias, depression, trauma, couples in conflict, and men navigating emotional wellbeing. I offer in-person sessions at my Tampa practice, Now & Zen Wellness

My Personal Beliefs and Interests

I believe people are not broken — they are responding to things that happened to them. What looks like anxiety, avoidance, or relationship conflict is almost always the nervous system doing its best to protect someone who learned early that the world wasn't safe. My job isn't to fix you. It's to help you understand yourself more clearly and give your system the conditions it needs to heal. I also believe therapy should be honest and direct. I won't just nod and reflect feelings back at you for years. I'll engage, challenge when helpful, and work with intention toward real change. Every person who walks into my office — regardless of race, gender identity, sexual orientation, religion, or background — deserves care that sees and respects who they actually are. That commitment isn't a footnote. It's foundational to how I practice.
