About My Clients
My client are adults with a broad range of issues and goals. Some are struggling with moderate to severe symptoms of anxiety, phobias, substance issues, PTSD, OCD, depression, etc. while others are making adjustments to difficult life situations. Some just want to be better at what they do and overcome obstacles that stand in their way to the next level of success.
My Background and Approach
I tailor my approach to each client. If a person has symptoms that are a result of a single traumatic incident we can start in on direct EMDR processing very early on. Sometimes even in the first session. Others need stabilization and preparation. EMDR is a very potent and powerful therapeutic tool. It is important that you are fully prepared, comfortable and feel safe in the process. I've been doing this a long time. I know how to be careful without being boring.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
I believe that it is important for me to work within your believe system. I don't want to tell you how to live your life. I want to help you have the life you want to have. We address the issues as you see them. We may discover new things about you along the way, but I'm not here to convince you to follow my beliefs and ideals. Your actions create consequences. I can help you to examine the consequences of your actions and make new decisions and develop new skills when and if you're ready to do that.
