Anxiety is beginning to be a constant companion. The constant worry has left you stressed, cranky, and irritable. As a result, you feel exhausted from this seemingly uncontrollable worrying. Everything is going wrong, and you feel it’s your fault. Some days, you can’t do anything right. You find it difficult to concentrate, your heart pounds and the lack of sleep worsens daily life. Once, you were self-confident, but now, you walk on eggshells and second-guess yourself. You want validation for everything you say and do to make sure you don’t upset anyone. Worrying about others’ feelings is more important than how you feel. How messed up is that? Concentrating is difficult, and you often feel confused. You don’t trust yourself to make good decisions anymore. Trauma is treatable, and with help, old wounds can heal. I know because I’ve been there, too.

You may have married with the hope of building a life with an equal partner—someone to share emotional labor, co-parent with, connect with deeply, and grow alongside. But the reality of your relationship feels very different. You feel alone in the partnership. Therapy offers a space where your experience is valid, and your emotional needs matter. EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing) was originally used to treat PTSD (Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder) caused by trauma, but it works for various concerns. Emotional stress can impact you physically and mentally. EMDR helps you process and regulate your emotions. EMDR uses both the emotional and the cognitive parts of the brain to help you become desensitized to those stressful thoughts and feelings, allowing you to replace them with positive ones.

Brainspotting is a focused body-and-mind therapy I use to access deep emotional and physiological healing. During sessions, we identify ‘brainspots’—eye positions linked to stored trauma or distress. By maintaining gentle attention on these spots, your body’s natural healing unfolds. As an EMDR-trained therapist, I integrate Brainspotting to help you process emotions more quickly, releasing tension and gaining clarity with compassionate guidance.
