About My Clients
Much of my work has been with adolescent youth experiencing emotional challenges in the home, which deepened my experience in youth mental and behavioral health, especially trauma-informed practice. I currently work as a freelance behavioral therapist with children ages 1-3, helping them develop age-appropriate skills to communicate, play, and socialize. I offer individual, family, and group support for anxiety, family conflict, anger, and teen issues.
My Background and Approach
I am a Licensed Master Social Worker (LMSW) in New York. I earned my Master's in Social Work from Hunter College School of Social Work (2010) and a Bachelor of Arts from Dowling College. I am also the President of Kings & Queens Advance, a youth development program that supports young leaders in understanding who they are and the importance of being in community with others. My practice is grounded in trauma-informed care, and I draw on Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Solution Focused Brief Therapy, Trauma Therapy, Family Systems, Emotionally Focused Therapy, Attachment Theory, and Coaching.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
The values that guide my work are faith, family, strength in community, equality, intentionality, and integrity.
