About My Clients
My clients are people who are doing "well enough" but are feeling held back in some way or just wanting more from life. If you've been asking yourself, "Is this all there is?' or if you're tired of ending up at the same impasse in a personal or professional relationship, and need support getting unstuck, I can help. If you want to experience positive shifts in a short amount of sessions and are willing work for it, this could be a good fit.
My Background and Approach
I have worked as a health care professional for thirty years. My eclectic personal and professional adventures have informed and humbled me on a broad spectrum. With a foundation in social work, I bring a humanist approach to my sessions as a psychotherapist which means I believe we all have within us, all that we need to manifest joy and satisfaction. Sometimes we just need some support with navigating ourselves down that road. Support from me looks like learning and practicing an expansion of your perceptions; reframing opportunities and breaking free from limiting beliefs; transforming grief and regret into gratitude and celebration; and learning to love life in the present moment. This means cultivation of more connected relationships, and an alignment of personal values with real world actions. Whether that includes contributing your strengths and talents to our community, perfecting the art of play and/or stepping into the fertile grounds of creativity, you can thrive.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
I am a supporter of the LGBTQ+ community and I have an emotional support animal that I adore. My highest values are excellence and grace. I am a believer in pushing out the edges of our envelopes by asking good questions and challenging stagnant belief structures. I love mining for hidden treasures and encouraging exploration, learning and growth. I think it's important to identify our personal values and be able to share our thoughts, feelings and ideas with one another in a respectful way. I think knowing and challenging ourselves is the fastest pathway to loving relationships and a fulfilling life. I believe that good therapy is a great platform for that kind of practice.
