About My Clients
My ideal clients are children and adolescents dealing with psychiatric issues like autism, ADHD, and behavioral challenges. I focus on providing comprehensive care that includes home evaluations, medication management, and behavior modification therapy. I also work closely with their caregivers, offering them the support and guidance they need to help their children thrive.
My Background and Approach
I have been a Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner since earning my master’s degree from Maryville University in 2021. Prior to that, I worked in pediatric critical care for over a decade, providing life-saving treatments and working with young patients and their families. I specialize in pediatric psychiatry, with a focus on autism, ADHD, and behavioral health. My experience at Texas Children’s Hospital helped me develop a holistic approach, combining medication management, behavioral therapy, and family support to ensure optimal mental health outcomes. Additionally, I co-authored a publication on holistic care for youths with autism, which informs my practice today.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
I believe in providing compassionate, family-centered care, ensuring every patient and caregiver feels supported throughout treatment. My holistic approach focuses on the mental and physical well-being of my patients. I am passionate about addressing the unique challenges faced by children with psychiatric needs and advocating for autism awareness and behavioral health. I also value the importance of creating accessible care for families who may not be able to travel to the clinic, offering home-based and remote evaluations to ease the burden on parents.
