About My Clients
You may look like you have it all together while privately feeling anxious, overwhelmed, disconnected, or exhausted from carrying too much for too long. I work with adolescents and adults navigating eating disorders and disordered eating, anxiety, trauma, depression, relationship challenges, identity, and major life transitions. My clients often want more than coping skills, they want to understand their patterns, reconnect with themselves, and create lasting change.
My Background and Approach
I work with adolescents and adults who want a space where they can be honest, feel understood, and also make meaningful changes in their lives. My approach is warm, collaborative, trauma-informed, and grounded in the belief that self-awareness creates agency. Therapy isn’t about telling you who to be, t’s about helping you better understand yourself so you can make choices that align with the life you want. I specialize in eating disorders and disordered eating, anxiety, trauma, depression, life transitions, self-esteem, and relationship concerns. My work may incorporate CBT, DBT, ACT, IFS-informed interventions, mindfulness, and expressive approaches depending on what works best for you. I also understand that healing doesn’t happen in a vacuum. Culture, family dynamics, identity, relationships, work, and the systems we live within can all shape how we experience ourselves and the world around us. You won’t be expected to shrink parts of yourself to fit into therapy.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
I believe every person deserves dignity, autonomy, and the freedom to define what healing looks like for them. I believe self-awareness creates agency, and that therapy should help you become more confident in your own voice, not dependent on your therapist. My work is grounded in compassion and accountability. I believe we can honor why certain patterns developed while also recognizing when they no longer serve us. Repair matters more than perfection, and growth doesn’t require shame. I am committed to culturally responsive, trauma-informed, LGBTQ+ affirming, and weight-inclusive care. I practice from a Health at Every Size (HAES) aligned perspective and believe people deserve respectful care regardless of body size, race, gender, sexuality, background, or life experience. Most importantly, I believe healthy relationships and systems should never require you to make yourself smaller in order to belong. Therapy should be a place where you can show up fully as yourself.
