About My Clients
I have a particular interest in working with individuals facing mood and anxiety disorders. My other interests include individuation, major life transitions, cross-cultural concerns, relationship issues, divorce and infidelity, and reproductive choices, especially third party procreation.
My Background and Approach
I am a body-oriented licensed psychotherapist who believes in the essential connection of mind and body in the process of healing and growth. My approach is collaborative, attentive, and individualized. I draw from my life experiences, my own healing process, and the extensive training I have completed to obtain an MA in Counseling Psychology and a PhD in Depth Psychology with and emphasis in somatic studies. Having lived in various countries on three continents, I have gone through the challenging and yet rewarding experience of immigration. I have prior work experience in the corporate world and extensive experience in the field of aviation.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
I see therapy as a process that leads to greater self-knowledge and provides a path to wholeness. It is a journey into self discovery paved with many opportunities for healing and access to authenticity. It is also an interconnected process that allows for growth that affects not only you but all those around you. Once you identify what does not feel right, what is painful, or difficult to cope with, you can effect the change that you believe will help you live with joy, happiness, and contentment. I will offer you a sacred, safe, and non-judgmental space to explore your deepest longings and ailing and will guide you to access your authentic self.
