My mission is to help my clients find their flow so that they may have the strength and tools to function independently. I believe that EVERYONE is capable of becoming their best selves if they're willing to put the work in.
My Background and Approach
I specialize in working with child, adolescent, and young adult racial and/or ethnic minorities. With a person-centered orientation, I create a warm, judgement free environment for clients to grow through the use of cognitive behavioral therapy and various other treatment modalities. You will only go as far as your mind lets you. So, let's break some limits!
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
I contend the eradication of oppression is the key to a healthy mind, body, and society. With a passion for social justice and helping others overcome mental health challenges, I obtained my counseling license (LGPC) and specialized in therapy for racial and ethnic minorities. I later expanded my reach beyond my clients by implementing a mental health/social justice platform as Miss Maryland United States 2019. Through pageantry and professional mental health work, I've conducted more than 60 mental health presentations and workshops, raised thousands of dollars for mental health non-profits, organized protests against racial injustice, established a minority law fellowship program, advised state representatives on mental health policies, partnered with police chiefs to reform policing, contributed to U.S. Capitol conferences regarding racial injustice, and published 3 self-help books.
