About My Clients
I specialize in working with individuals experiencing Post-traumatic stress disorder, complex trauma, addiction and substance use concerns, Bipolar disorder, neurodivergence, and the lasting effects of emotional, physical, sexual, and psychological abuse. I am deeply passionate about supporting survivors of trauma and helping clients reclaim their sense of identity, stability, and hope.
My Background and Approach
I earned a Bachelor of Science in Behavioral and Community Health from the University of Maryland, College Park and a Master’s degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Capella University. My clinical approach is rooted in meeting clients where they are while empowering them to build resilience, self-awareness, and healthier patterns in their lives and relationships. Drawing from evidence-based modalities including Dialectical Behavior Therapy, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, and a person-centered therapeutic approach, I tailor treatment to each client’s unique needs, values, and goals. I work collaboratively with clients to foster emotional regulation, self-compassion, effective communication, and lasting change.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
What I stand for most is the healing power of connection and the right of every individual to live authentically. I strive to bring deep empathy, cultural sensitivity, and genuine care into every session, creating a safe, nonjudgmental space for you to process your experiences. I am passionate about empowerment and social transformation, a belief perfectly captured by Angela Davis's quote: 'I'm changing the things I cannot accept.' In alignment with this, I specialize in and advocate for survivors of complex trauma, abuse, and neurodivergence. I am here to help you navigate life's challenges, break unhealthy patterns, and reclaim your sense of identity, stability, and hope.
