About My Clients
Maybe you feel like you don’t quite belong or struggle to trust your own worth. You might be carrying the weight of systemic oppression, intergenerational trauma, or the pressure to fit into environments that were not made for you. Maybe you are navigating burnout, career uncertainty or trying to figure out how to do meaningful work in the world without betraying yourself or your values. You want to heal, feel at home in yourself, and create a life that feels authentic and meaningful.
My Background and Approach
My background includes over 15 years of work in social justice, education, and community-based spaces. I believe therapy should be collaborative, non-pathologizing, and rooted in your strengths. My approach draws from EMDR, parts work, somatic practices, and relational-cultural therapy. My therapeutic philosophy emphasizes dignity, resilience, and practical strategies for growth. I work to create a secure and compassionate space where clients can explore their identities, heal from trauma, and develop the tools for personal empowerment. I believe in the interconnectedness of mental, emotional, and environmental well-being, and aim to empower clients to live authentically and navigate challenges with resilience. My approach fosters self-discovery, healing, and growth through empathy, non-judgment, and collaboration. We will spend our first couple of sessions the problem you want to focus on and determine a course of action from there.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
As a mixed race-Black, transmasculine, and nonbinary practitioner, I understand the importance of being seen and affirmed. I approach therapy with a commitment to creating a secure, affirming space where clients can unfold into their most authentic selves.
