One of my favorite quotes is, “You are the only one that can create the life you deserve.”

Holistic Psychotherapy is the integration of the connection between the mind, body and spirit in effort to address issues on a deep level. I hold traditional psychodynamic, nervous system based and Eastern healing traditions equally important and complementary. During our work together, we connect to your inner being and explore the various parts that need healing. There is also an emphasis on the whole person and your connection to self and others.
Trauma is an experience where an individual has experienced a loss of power and control. I am a Certified Trauma Competent Practitioner through Lakeside Global Institute. Every interaction with my clients is an opportunity to for them to regain power and control over their lives. I also work with clients on being able to process their trauma through somatic work (yoga, breath work, and mediation). I have also assisted clients with moving forward with life after trauma.
I am a EMDR trained practicioner by EMDRIA. When practitioners come in contact with someone who has experienced trauma, they often think of me. EMDR is an evidence-based modality that is used by veterans’ hospitals, trauma treatment centers, and thousands of therapists around the world. Trauma can encompass not only the commonly associated events of combat, accidents, injury, death of a loved one, sexual assault or other forms of violence. I am here to offer tools to manage the trauma.
I have worked with women during different phases of the prenatal to postnatal journey with creating birthing teams inclusive of doulas, midwifes, Certified Clinical Lactationist, and other practitioners/support people for ensuring that not only the pregnancy but the postpartum experience is healthy for both mom and baby. I educate my clients on the neuroscience of the parent-child relationship through our therapy work along with providing mother tools to assist with managing her stress.
I have had extensive work with women who have had abortions and miscarriages. With my support, these women have been able to navigate the grief and loss that is associated with this experience. I also focus on the spiritual aspects connected to this level of loss based on healing the womb of the mind, the womb of the heart and the womb of the reproductive center. Women who have experienced this level of loss experience a range of emotions and my goal is to support them through this deep healing.
I have worked with women from different age groups and for the majority of the women I service, the core issues come up: relationships (with self, significant other, family and friends); self-care (what does that mean); self-love and learning to trust the self; navigating identities/roles. Women are complex beings but we need spaces to feel comfortable to evaluate what we believe in and how those values align with who we are today and the person we want to become.
