About My Clients
My clients struggle with feelings of emptiness, sadness and low self-worth. They often feel not good enough or constantly question themselves. There is a disconnect between who they are and who they hope to be. If this is how you feel, you are not alone. Sometimes life events like going to college, starting a career, marriage, parenting, divorce or grief can seem overwhelming. Working together, I can help you navigate through these transitions so that you can have your ideal life.
My Background and Approach
I graduated from Marshall University in 1992 with a Master’s degree in clinical psychology. In addition to working in private practice for the past 22 years I have worked in a private psychiatric hospital, as a clinical director for partial hospital programs, a Regional Director for a Long Term Care Behavioral Health Company and was an adjunct professor at St. Pete College. I am a certified Parenting Coordinator and have completed training and mentoring as a Florida Supreme Court Family Mediator. These additional credentials give me a unique perspective when working with families. I met my husband in high school. We dated for 7 ½ years, married in 1992 and moved to Florida. We have two wonderful children ages 24 and 20 who bring us a tremendous amount of joy. My marriage and family have been as much of a training ground for me as a therapist as all of my formal education and experience.

With almost 30 years of experience, I can help guide you through these confusing and difficult times. You will receive a customized plan for your personal healing journey because no two people are alike. You will learn to identify and then capitalize on your strengths so that you can start to create your ideal life and relationships. You may not even know where to start on this journey of personal growth. But you no longer have to feel alone. Reaching out for help takes strength and hope and when you feel like you are lacking in one or both allow me to help hold them for you as we take this journey together.
