My name is Dina Molina and I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker and Marriage and Family Therapist.
Clinical Social Worker in , NY
I incorporate CBT with Mindfulness practices include breath-work meditation which allows one to focus on the mind or thoughts to train one’s attention and awareness to achieve mental clarity and emotional stability & calmness. The purpose of breath-work meditation is to stop the mind from rushing in an aimless way on a stream of thoughts that create anxiety.
I work with couples through Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT), a type of short-term therapy that is used to improve attachment and bonding in adult relationships.
To support clients in personal growth I create an individual approach to support their goals with talk therapy, cognitive behavioral therapy, mindfulness practices such as supporting clients in creating time in their day to apply breath-work meditation as well as essential oil healing for stress reduction, anxiety and depression and Ayurveda practices to get them to a place of growth and change.
Cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT) is a type of psychotherapeutic treatment that helps clients to learn how to identify and change destructive or disturbing thought patterns that have a negative influence on behavior and emotions. Cognitive behavioral therapy focuses on changing the automatic negative thoughts that can contribute to and worsen emotional difficulties, depression, and anxiety. These spontaneous negative thoughts have a detrimental influence on mood.
Solution-Focused Brief Therapy (SFBT) is a short-term goal-focused evidence-based therapeutic approach, where I incorporate positive practices, and help clients change by constructing solutions rather than focusing on their problems. In the most basic sense, SFBT is a hope friendly, positive emotion eliciting, future-oriented vehicle for formulating, motivating, achieving, and sustaining desired behavioral change.
I work with couples through Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT), a type of short-term therapy that is used to improve attachment and bonding in adult relationships. A few of the techniques used in EFT is deescalation which is focused on identifying negative interaction patterns that contribute to conflict, identifying negative emotions related to attachment issues, and reframing these issues. This helps couples better see how insecurities and fears are hurting their relationship.
