About My Clients

Aloha! My name is Dillon, and I am a queer therapist originally from the occupied island of Hawai’i. I specialize in working with queer, trans/gender expansive folks, people in poly/ENM relationships, gay and lesbian working professionals, and artists of all types. I provide trauma-informed, neurodivergent affirming care, and I am a firm believer that you are the expert of your own life. I help people reconnect with who they are, outside of work and others' expectations.

My Background and Approach

I have an undergraduate degree in Psychology and a master's in Social Work. I have several years of experience as a community organizer and have worked with women and children, trans/gender-expansive folks, members of the drag community, kinky and poly/ENM folks, people living with HIV, nomads, and people who are experiencing family/relationship challenges. I am trained in gender affirming and neurodivergent affirming practices, harm reduction, cognitive-behavioral therapy, and motivational interviewing. I am currently being trained in acceptance and commitment therapy, parts work, and somatic therapy techniques. I approach therapy from a decolonizing systems lense, pulling from my cultural experiences to support clients in reconnecting with their community and individual values, support systems, and sense of self. I am a big believer in playing, creating art, and movement, both as self care and resistance!

My Personal Beliefs and Interests

I am originally from Hawai'i and have a diverse personal and professional background. I strongly believe in a community-oriented, non-Western approach to therapeutic practices. I aim to understand my client's perspectives and help them identify what their ideal healing journey is. I focus on creating a safe space where clients are encouraged to express themselves, explore their identity, and practice interpersonal skills.
