I provide learning and psychoeducation about anxiety, as it is a very natural human behavior and is related to basic survival instinct. My psychotherapy intervention approach includes alot of cognitive based therapy, thought patterns and skills development. We progressively work towards managing your worries, rumination and triggering behaviors.

I collaboratively work with individuals over time to identify symptoms and triggers. We collaboratively develop and implement activities that will promote healthy behavior management, lifestyle change, circadian (sleep) behaviors, establish suitable routines and overall well-being. Our collaboration is targeted to developing strategies that will help you better manage your episodes of mania and depression.

In the treatment of depression, my psychotherapy intervention approach includes alot of cognitive based therapy, interpersonal therapy and mindfulness practices. We collaboratively work over time via talk therapy to address negative thoughts and redirection. While treatment is psychodynamic, which may include history analysis and attempts at explaining the why's and how's, the goal is to work toward maintaining day to day functioning and breathe meaning into life.

My delivery of CBT focuses alot on self-exploration, specifically on understanding yourself and negative thinking that contributes to detrimental behaviors. Getting to the core and redirecting behavior is very difficult and takes alot of time. As such, you may be given homework. For example, homework could be a trigger worksheet, aimed at helping you identify situations that contribute to alcohol consumption. CBT is evidence-based and has proven results on many symptoms and diagnosis.
