About My Clients
My ideal client is someone seeking support for mental health challenges such as anxiety, depression, ADHD, PTSD, mood disorders, or OCD. I work with individuals across the lifespan, tailoring treatment to each person’s unique needs and goals. I excel in creating a compassionate, collaborative space for clients to explore their concerns and develop strategies to improve their mental well-being.
My Background and Approach
I hold a Doctor of Nursing Practice (DNP) degree and am board-certified as a Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner. With 27 years in healthcare, my background includes cardiac and critical care, forensic nursing, and academia. I’ve served as an Assistant Professor, mentoring nursing students and developing innovative programs like a Forensic Nursing concentration. Now, I specialize in treating mental health conditions such as anxiety, depression, ADHD, PTSD, mood disorders, and OCD. My approach combines evidence-based medication management and motivational interviewing, ensuring each client receives personalized and effective care.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
As a healthcare provider, I’m driven by compassion, collaboration, and a commitment to helping individuals thrive. I believe in treating every client with dignity and understanding, fostering a safe and supportive environment. My personal values are rooted in empathy, lifelong learning, and empowering others to reach their goals. Outside of my practice, I enjoy spending time with my two teenagers and Labrador Retrievers, cherishing moments of connection and joy. I also support initiatives that promote mental health awareness and education, believing strongly in reducing the stigma around seeking help. Together, we can work toward a brighter, healthier future.
