About My Clients
Many of the children and adolescents I work with experience the world intensely. They may struggle with anxiety, emotional regulation, social challenges, sensory sensitivities, or school-related stress. Their parents are often seeking both support and a roadmap forward. My goal is to help families better understand themselves, strengthen relationships, and create meaningful, lasting change.
My Background and Approach
My practice specializes in supporting neurodivergent children and teens, including those with ADHD, autism, gifted and twice-exceptional profiles, anxiety, OCD, and school-related challenges. I am a Certified Autism Specialist, Certified ADHD Practitioner, and trained in SPACE (Supportive Parenting for Anxious Childhood Emotions). My approach is collaborative, strengths-based, and tailored to the unique needs of each child and family. I integrate evidence-based, developmental, and relational approaches while working closely with parents to create meaningful and lasting change. In addition to therapy, I provide parent coaching, consultation, and clinical supervision.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
One of the beliefs that guides my work comes from Ross Greene: “Kids do well if they can.” When children are struggling, I do not assume they are being difficult, manipulative, or choosing to fail. Instead, I become curious about what is getting in the way. Children thrive when they feel understood, supported, and equipped with the skills they need to meet life's challenges. I also believe that parents are an essential part of the therapeutic process. While therapy can help children develop insight, coping skills, and confidence, lasting change often happens when the adults in a child's life gain a deeper understanding of their needs and learn new ways of responding. Every child and family is unique. Rather than applying a one-size-fits-all approach, I work collaboratively with families to build on strengths, increase flexibility, and create meaningful change. My goal is not to "fix" children, but to help them better understand themselves and navigate the world with greater confidence
