About My Clients
I specialize in treatment for OCD and anxiety disorders. My clients often tell me the they feel trapped by anxiety and constantly worried about the "what-ifs." This can turn into an endless cycle of trying to make scary, challenging, or uncomfortable thoughts go away, which can feel demoralizing, overwhelming, and never-ending. I want people to know that there is a way forward and you don't have to live your life on anxiety's terms.
My Approach to Helping
I'll help you understand and respond differently to your anxiety instead of constantly feeling bullied by it. I use proven, effective strategies like exposure and response prevention (ERP), cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), and acceptance and commitment therapy (ACT) to help you get back to doing the things that are important to you without OCD or anxiety interfering. My approach is direct, but flexible, and we always decide on next steps in treatment together. I’ve received training from the International OCD Foundation (IOCDF), the Beck Institute, the Cognitive Behavior Institute, and the Association for Contextual Behavioral Science (ACBS), among others. I participate in regular training and consultation focused on the treatment of OCD and anxiety disorders and actively engage with the OCD community regarding new and innovative treatment practices, strategies, and interventions.
