About My Clients

I work with clients who are on a journey of self discovery & are seeking communication & intimacy tools that support them in cultivating lasting, personal fulfillment. While my clients are as diverse as the therapeutic approaches I integrate - my counseling style & areas of expertise attract LGBTQIA+ & kinky folx, neurodivergent adults, & individuals in non-traditional relationship constructs. I also support clients with anxiety, fertility barriers, and those in drug/alcohol recovery.

My Background and Approach

My mantra is to lead with compassion, while grounded in science. I believe there is a very delicate balance of providing clients with a safe, non-judgemental space to be heard & self explore, while also offering tangible tools for the mental shifts & behavioral changes they are seeking. I weave interpersonal therapy, mindfulness and its impact on brain-body connections, and cognitive behavioral practices into my therapeutic approach to assist individuals, couples, and non traditional relationship constructs in meeting their goals. Together we will foster an environment where you gain clarity on what you need and how to live an authentic, balanced, and joyous life. 2018 - Joined PSU Graduate Counseling Dep't as an adjunct professor teaching Equity and Human Sexuality courses 2014 - Advanced certificate in Educational Leadership from Baruch Univ. 2005 - 200hr RYT from Yoga Works with a focus on pre/post natal care 2004 - Master's in Counseling & Mental Health from Queens College

My Personal Beliefs and Interests

For the past two decades I have passionately advocated on behalf of mental health services in public schools in NYC and Oregon, with a recent triumph in helping a local school district pass a substantial financial levy so all schools are funded to provide mental health services to community members. Both personally and professionally I dedicate myself to eradicating the systemic bias and oppression individuals of the BIPOC & LGBTQ+ community continue to face on a daily basis. My advocacy work is especially focused on late childhood and early teenage years when so many black men & trans youth become increasingly vulnerable to at-risk behavior, houselessness and violence. I am a lifelong learner who will continue to grow my understanding of how to support the myriad of individuals in need of therapeutic services at reasonable rates so they can access high-quality care. I encourage clients to provide feedback during sessions to solidify a transparent and trusting counseling rapport.
