I use a virtual sand tray to help clients show me their thoughts, feelings and emotions. Being able to show what they feel now and how they want to feel can help a person find solutions to making change in their life. The creative element is enjoyed by people of all ages.
Personal growth will be different for each person. It may include an exploration of different careers, different paths of spirituality, or exploring different aspects of personality. For each exploration, people often find there is some type of block which prevents them from moving forward in their growth. I help you examine those blocks and determine the best ways for you to overcome those blocks to move forward on your chosen path for personal growth.
I have been an Emotional Freedom Technique (EFT) Master practitioner since 2010 and am also a Trainer for the Guild of Energists (GOE), the largest international EFT organization. As a GOE trainer, I offer a variety of classes which explore how energy moves through the body and how we can use it positively. I also use energy techniques with my counseling clients and have seen dramatic results.
Esteem can be affected by many things from a single word said by a parent to bullying by schoolchildren to overbearing bosses, friends and romantic partners. It is also affected by the words we tell ourselves. As a team, we explore what you need to build confidence in different areas of your life. We set both short and long-term goals so that you can see and experience the process of taking action and achieving your goals. How do you want to see yourself? Are you ready to change?
I have used EFT for more than 10 years to help individuals with traumatic experiences learn how to release the extreme stress. Some of these experiences include: military trauma, medical trauma, domestic violence and sexual assault trauma. I have worked in a Domestic Violence/Sexual Assault Agency in Alabama to assist the survivors. I have also trained in Trauma-Focused CBT. Recovery is possible and confidence can be regained.
Anger can arise from many different sources. In our society, we are taught to stuff emotions and when we don't acknowledge them and work through them, the emotions can re-emerge at a later date, often in inappropriate ways. When clients meet with me we discuss how they are currently exhibiting anger as well as when they first started having anger outbursts. Often, the origin may be years or even decades old. When that initiating event is worked through, the anger can be released.
