About My Clients
There is a moment that happens within individuals, couples, or families that will serve as as 'wake up call' per se. A realization that this is not where you want to be, and you need help. It reminds me of the phrase, "I don't care where you go, but you can't stay here". This is why one of my first questions is always, "why now?" Was what was working no longer? Folks come to therapy during transition whether personally or relationally. An event or inward realization. This is where I come in!
My Background and Approach
I am a licensed Marriage and Family Therapist currently serving within Pennsylvania. As an LMFT, I approach presenting problems through a systems lens (moving parts) and work alongside my clients by exploring the human experience and the balancing act it requires. Investigating the moving parts of our psyche, tempering the ever-shifting personal and relational needs of our lives, and gaining clarity on areas of focus that leads to rearrangement, the development of new coping skills, and ultimately growth. I am proud to be a Member of Delta Kappa, the International Honor Society for Marriage and Family Therapy. I enjoy studying archetypal concepts in my spare time and am fascinated by how we, as humans, make meaning in our lives. I am published and have presented on trauma. I have experience in private practice, non-profit community mental health, residential, and inpatient. I have not only served as a clinician but also in a supervisory role in community mental health.
