About My Clients
Are you overworked, or spending most of your time taking care of others? Running on auto-pilot and burning out? Are you experiencing anxiety because of life's uncertainties or a new transition? You may find yourself looking for guidance, security and consistency at the moment or maybe for a long time. I specialize in treating adults who are experiencing anxiety and depression due to life circumstances such as academic stress, job dissatisfaction, family obligations, and relationships.
My Background and Approach
I believe for there to be change, you must first acknowledge your life as is. You are capable of making the change you desire, but it requires openness and acceptance of how your past may have shaped you. With new insight gained through the process of therapy, you can pave the right path for your future. I am also a Certified Yoga Instructor. When applicable and needed, I incorporate body and movement practices into sessions to strengthen the mind-body connection. This is optional and supplements traditional talk therapy. A lot of times, anxiety is experienced as an automatic response or something you do not have any control over. Mind-body practices can change these automatic responses, stop the constant loop, and create a sense of safety within your body in order to calm your mind. With over 12 years in the mental health field and merging these two practices, I can help you find the right tools to live a better quality of life.
