About My Clients
I have served teens and adults from diverse backgrounds and with a variety of issues such as PTSD, complex PTSD, depression, anxiety, bipolar disorders, life transitions, grief/loss, work/academic stress. The services I offer are culturally sensitive and neurodivergence-affirming. I enjoy working with anyone that wants to improve their mental health while valuing equity and diversity.
My Background and Approach
As a warm, compassionate, respectful and gentle therapist, I will collaborate with you to cope with difficulties or work through the impact of painful experiences. I am certified in EMDR therapy through EMDRIA (October 2025; fully trained in 2022), and I have continued to pursue advanced trainings and consultation after being certified so that I can provide the best care for my clients. The non-pathologizing stance of IFS (Internal Family Systems) really resonates with me, so I keep learning it and integrate it into my work, especially with clients that have complex trauma histories and attachment wounds. My own experience as a client was what inspired me to become a counselor. I provide services in both English and Mandarin. I earned my MS Ed. in Mental Health Counseling and Counselor Education at Indiana University Bloomington. I worked as a therapist at a group practice (4 years and 2 months) and a substance use treatment facility (3 months) before working at my own practice.
