About My Clients
I work with children, teens, and adults who are navigating anxiety, depression, life transitions, or emotional overwhelm. Many of my clients are seeking a space where they feel seen, understood, and supported—especially those balancing cultural, family, or identity-based stress. Whether you're a parent worried about your child, a teen struggling to find your voice, or an adult feeling stuck, I’m here to walk alongside you with care and clarity.
My Background and Approach
With over 2 decades of experience supporting children, teens, and families in educational and counseling settings, I bring a calm, thoughtful, and culturally responsive approach to therapy. I use evidence-based techniques like Cognitive Behavioral Therapy and Person-Centered Therapy, tailored to each client’s unique needs and strengths. Whether you’re feeling anxious, stuck, or emotionally overwhelmed, I’ll help you build practical tools you can use every day—tools to calm your body, reframe your thoughts, and connect with your inner resilience. Our work will be collaborative and focused on what matters most to you. We’ll move at a pace that feels safe and manageable, beginning with what’s happening in your life right now and building toward long-term change. My goal is for you to walk away from each session feeling heard, equipped, and supported.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
I believe healing happens in spaces where people feel seen, heard, and respected for who they truly are. I value compassion, cultural awareness, and the power of lived experience. As a Black woman and mental health professional, I understand the unique challenges that can come with navigating identity, family expectations, and systemic stressors. I’m committed to holding space for clients who are often underrepresented or overlooked in traditional therapy settings. I stand for mental health accessibility, equity in care, and the importance of representation in the field. Outside of the therapy room, I engage in community efforts that support youth empowerment and wellness. I believe therapy should honor the whole person—your culture, your history, your values—and I show up fully, with honesty and heart, so my clients know they don’t have to walk this journey alone.
