I have experience working with teens and adolescents as they explore their gender identity, ethnic and cultural backgrounds, and how they fit into today's social make up.

I have worked with those in the foster care system, adjusting to new family placement, new school placement, and adjusting to functioning after experiencing or witnessing trauma

I have experience as a music therapist working with children and teens in ADHD I, ADHD II and ADHD combined spectrum. The goal and achievement being to increase focus, memorization, and anxiety to fit in with other peers.

I don't claim to be an expert in any one therapeutic theory. The focus of the therapeutic experience is the growth of the individual, leading to symptom reduction. Rather than focus on the client's past history, in solution focus, my goal is to identify and take steps towards the client's preferred solution or outcome to their current issues.

Here the goal is to guide the client to make sense of their lived experiences and stories. The focus of each individual Narrative can show the client how their own personal narrative can differ from societal expectations and generational narratives.

CBT aims to get the client to see how their current behavior is not working in their lives, and to work on learning new behaviors which may increase more positive outcomes in their situations. The goal is to increase positive behavior, decrease negative behaviors, and improve the client's problem solving abilities.
