About My Clients
As an associate therapist, I strive to help my clients rewrite their personal narratives and work to create a relationship built on understanding, compassion and trust. It’s my goal to help you better understand yourself, navigate your experiences and learn self-compassion. Join me and let’s rewrite your story together. While I work with a multitude of clients needs; in particular, I specialize in helping clients with traumatic experiences, with a focus on survivors of narcissistic abuse.
My Background and Approach
I am supervised by Monica E Williams LPCC 8952 at Freestyle Therapy. I have a background as a cook, which has allowed me to bring creativity and expression to therapy sessions in unconventional ways. I believe that mental health care is an essential part of overall wellness, which inspired me to seek it as my second career. Through my experience of locating suitable, affordable therapy, it has instilled in me a dedication to help others meet their personal goals. In session I offer a range of techniques including CBT, DBT and mindfulness. Additionally, I use psychodynamic and attachment theories to assist clients with overcoming childhood trauma.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
I believe that therapy is an important part of overall health, and that if all individuals have an opportunity to receive treatment, they would also have the opportunity to become the best version of themselves. While many of us have experienced childhood trauma, these experiences do not define who we are, nor do they have to define our adult experiences. We can use our past challenges to assist us with re-writing our stories through therapeutic practices such as journaling, self-discovery, mindfulness, and analyzing attachment styles. This is my mission as an associate therapist; to support clients with using their challenges as a tool rather than a deficit.
