About My Clients
If anxiety, intrusive thoughts, or past experiences are affecting your life, therapy can help you regain safety, control, and connection. I specialize in trauma healing, anxiety and obsessive-compulsive symptoms, and nervous system regulation. You’ll receive personalized, evidence-based support tailored to your unique needs. 100% virtual counseling is available for individuals, families, and support systems in Arizona, California, Colorado, Alaska, and the UK.
My Background and Approach
I'm passionate about helping people experiencing acute and complex/complicated trauma, all forms of anxiety, and various compulsive behaviors live their best lives. I strive to integrate the science and art of mental health counseling to meet folks where they are and help them get where they want to be. I have extensive training and expertise in evidence-based practices (EBPs), including Exposure and Response Prevention (ERP) for OCD and anxiety, Prolonged Exposure and EMDR for PTSD and trauma, and The Safe and Sound Protocol (SSP) listening therapy for nervous system regulation. I previously specialized in compulsive sexual behaviors/"sex addiction" and especially enjoy working with sexual themes of OCD, including taboo/attraction-based subtypes like POCD, as well as unwanted sexual behaviors standalone or intertwined with OCD or trauma. You can expect honesty, direct communication, and tons of encouragement. I’ll challenge you, support you, and cheer you on every step of the way.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
I believe therapy should be a place where you can show up as your full self without judgment, shame, or fear. I value human rights, racial justice, healthcare access, LGBTQ+ and TGNC inclusion, and the dignity and worth of every person, regardless of race, gender identity, sexual orientation, immigration status, or background. As a member of the LGBTQ+ community, I understand the importance of being seen, respected, and affirmed. I strive to create a space where curiosity is welcomed, beliefs and judgments can be explored openly, and a person can better understand themselves and those around them with empathy and compassion. These values guide how I support my clients, advocate for equity, and show up in my broader community.
