About My Clients
People often come to me feeling emotionally exhausted, disconnected from themselves, or unsure how to move forward. My work is trauma-informed and grounded in the belief that people are not broken—they are responding to what they’ve lived through. Together, we focus on reducing the impact of past experiences while building practical tools to help you cope more fully in the here and now.
My Background and Approach
My role is to offer a compassionate, non-judgmental space where you can explore what’s getting in the way and begin creating meaningful change—at a pace that feels right for you. I work with teens and adults who are feeling overwhelmed, stuck in old patterns, or impacted by past experiences that continue to show up in the present. I have additional training in Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) and I am an Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) therapist, allowing me to offer both skills-based and trauma-focused care. At the core of my work, however, is a person-centered and holistic approach that honors your unique experiences, strengths, and goals.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
My strong belief in human equality and equity ground my practice. I strive to make mental health treatment and specifically EMDR affordable and sustainable for those who need it. Currently, as a Counselor Education and Supervision PhD student, I am interested in researching the lived experience of substance abuse counselors. Additionally, I am a part-time adjunct professor and am passionate about contributing to counselor education. Outside of my professional work, I’m also a mom and value spending time outdoors with family and friends. I enjoy yoga, cycling, concerts, and intentionally creating moments of balance and connection—both personally and professionally.
