About My Clients
I especially enjoy working with quirky, creative, nerdy, and out-of-the-box individuals and couples. I believe everyone has an interesting story to tell! I love to conect with those who feel social situations can be stressful or challenging. Learning to connect and communicate in diverse ways is an important part of growing self-worth and confidence in therapy.
My Background and Approach
My approach draws from Emotionally Focused, Relational, Narrative, Mindfulness, and Cognitive-Behavioral therapies—with plenty of room for humor. Together, we’ll find the space just outside your comfort zone, where growth feels challenging but not overwhelming. My graduate studies included a specialty in Sex thearpy, which set me up to help all types of people in vulnerable situations. I have expanded to work with issues all over the map, from LGBTQIA2+ issues, radical justice work, all types of trauma, ENM relationships, and Chronic illness/pain.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
I help individuals and couples deepen their relationships—with others, with partners, and with themselves. My work is grounded in compassion, curiosity, and a belief that meaningful change happens when we feel safe enough to stretch into new ways of being. I began with a specialty in Sex Therapy through TJU and have since expanded my practice to include a wide range of clients and experiences. I work with those healing from sexual trauma, navigating chronic illness, opening their relationships. I offer a free collage and group therapy event quarterly at the Durham County Library and have a history of volunteering with the OCRCC(rape crisis Center) and the OCAS(Animal Services). I love Arts and Crafts and my family of fur babies!
