About My Clients
Do you find yourself experiencing distressful thoughts that interfere with your social, interpersonal, or occupational functioning? As a strengths-based therapist, I will teach you strategies to build confidence in order to face life’s challenges, better manage your emotional responses to stressors, build effective coping skills, and develop healthier styles of thinking in order to reduce anxiety, depression, and panic symptoms.
My Background and Approach
I believe that each approach should be tailored to the client’s specific needs. I have training on different types of approaches and will pull from different modalities to help address your needs. I enjoy helping clients build a personal toolbox of strategies that they can use in various settings. I have received training in anxiety, panic and depressive disorders and continue to stay abreast on the latest techniques to better serve my clients. I help clients recognize their internal strengths and resources, build a more positive mindset, and improve their resilience in coping with difficult situations. I introduce different calming and relaxation techniques that you can use in any setting. I will work with you to help you to recognize skills you have and develop new coping mechanisms to replace maladaptive ones. I’ll teach you how to increase awareness of unhelpful thoughts and modify thinking patterns that have a negative influence on your emotions and behaviors.
