About My Clients
More sex and orgasms isn't the solution to happiness or sexual freedom despite what people try to sell. Clients come to me when they’ve reached a tipping point with sexual problems, and avoiding the problem isn't helping. Most of my clients have tried different approaches or types of therapy in the past, but they still feel unclear or afraid of what to do with their sexual life. Their libido problems (high or low), sexual discomfort, or other intimacy difficulties are getting in the way.
My Background and Approach
Talking about sex is not the easiest thing to do with a stranger. Most of us did not grow up in environments where that was supported or even allowed. That's okay. We take it easy and actually talk about many parts of you that help inform your sexual life. How I work is to help connect the dots on how your past is informing your reactions to the present and your relationships. Along the way, we find out how your sensations and body are actually telling you much of the information you need. As a certified sex therapist, I see a variety of sexual concerns, including desire discrepancy, intimacy issues, sexual trauma, and sexual dysfunctions. I also help clients who want to further explore their sexual identities, kinks, or desires. I work with both individuals and couples, many of whom identify with the LGBTQIA+ community. I welcome all genders, sexual identities, and different relational and monogamy agreements in my practice.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
My belief is that sex is a great place to get an inside view into how your inner world is working. Sex therapy is a type of regular therapy, and I work holistically with entire people. My goal is to help you experience more pleasure and get to know yourself (and your partner) on a more intimate level. As a therapist of color with mixed identity, I value working with BIPOC, mixed, and second-generation clients.
