About My Clients

I work with teens and adults who feel stuck, anxious, or weighed down by past experiences. Many of my clients are navigating trauma, relationship challenges, low self-esteem, or big life transitions. I also support those working to break unhealthy patterns, manage stress, or cope with substance use. My approach is warm, collaborative, and practical, helping clients feel understood while building tools to create lasting change and healthier connections.

My Background and Approach

I am a Licensed Clinical Mental Health Counselor Associate with a Master’s in Mental Health Counseling from Marshall University and a Bachelor’s in Psychology. My experience spans hospital and private practice settings, where I have worked with individuals facing trauma, anxiety, depression, relationship challenges, substance use, and self-esteem concerns. I specialize in helping clients understand how past experiences shape current patterns so they can create healthier ways of thinking, feeling, and relating. Drawing from Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, Narrative Therapy, and Motivational Interviewing, I tailor each session to meet your unique needs. My goal is to create a safe, supportive environment where you feel heard and equipped with practical tools to navigate life’s challenges, break free from old patterns, and move toward the life you want.

My Personal Beliefs and Interests

I believe therapy should be a safe and inclusive space for every person, regardless of background, identity, or life experiences. I value compassion, authenticity, and respect, and I work to create an environment where clients feel seen and supported without judgment. I am passionate about mental health advocacy and breaking the stigma around seeking help, especially in underserved communities. I support causes that promote equity and inclusion, including LGBTQ+ rights, racial justice, and access to quality mental health care for all. I also care deeply about empowering survivors of trauma and domestic violence, helping them reclaim their sense of safety and self-worth. Outside of my work, I enjoy connecting with my local community through volunteer efforts and raising awareness about mental health resources. My hope is that every client I work with feels heard, valued, and empowered to live authentically.
