About My Clients
My clients are often carrying a lot, whether it’s anxiety, grief, relationship struggles, or the overwhelming weight of parenting or postpartum life. Some feel stuck, disconnected, or constantly in survival mode. Many are high-functioning but exhausted, craving space to breathe, reflect, and be heard. If you’re navigating life transitions, identity questions, chronic stress, or just feeling bone-deep tired, you’re not alone, and you don’t have to do it all by yourself.
My Background and Approach
I’m Destinee, a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) and Perinatal Mental Health Certified (PMH-C) therapist with over 5 years of clinical experience. I’ve worked in diverse settings including schools, psychiatric units, PICU, NICU, ER crisis, and private group practice. My broad background allows me to understand complex challenges from multiple angles. I use evidence-based therapies like CBT, CPT, ERP, ACT, and integrate Gottman Method techniques for couples. My approach is trauma-informed, culturally humble, and deeply collaborative—creating a safe, judgment-free space where clients feel heard and empowered. My approach is trauma-informed, culturally humble, authentic, and inclusive—where realness is welcome and yes, a little swearing is totally okay. Whether you’re dealing with anxiety, grief, postpartum struggles, or relationship challenges, my goal is to tailor therapy to your unique needs, helping you heal, grow, and reconnect with yourself in a judgment-free space.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
I believe therapy should be a safe, welcoming space where all identities are affirmed and honored. I actively support LGBTQ+ and BIPOC voices and am committed to culturally humble, inclusive care. Everyone deserves respect, validation, and the freedom to be their authentic self in and outside of therapy.
