About My Clients
I have a passion for working with children, adolescents, and young adults, in both individual and group settings, who may be struggling with anxiety, self-esteem, stress, etc. I would like to help you by providing the tools and safe space to help you thrive on your mental health journey. My Background and Approach
My Mission: To create a safe and healthy environment for individuals to feel comfortable sharing and working towards accomplishing their goals. My Focus: Through the use of various therapeutic techniques, knowledge and skills, my focus is to help clients grow, understand and cope with life’s various trials and tribulations. You are the expert in your life and I am here to help you reach your goals. My Technique: I consider myself an eclectic counselor to ensure the technique matches the need of the client. I have experience with cognitive behavioral therapy, solution-focused therapy and person-centered therapy. I enjoy facilitating group counseling sessions and have led groups in the areas of self-esteem, anger management, substance abuse, co-occuring disorders, expressive therapy, co-dependency, depression, goal setting and various others.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
I believe that people are capable of changing and growing throughout their lives. You are the changemaker of your life and I am grateful that you have chosen me to be a part of that positive change and journey. I know that it can be brave and scary to begin the work of transformation. In my free time, I enjoy spending time with my family, trying new eateries around town and hanging with my rambunctious Chi-Poo mix pup, Izzy.
