As a lesbian, first-gen Hawaiian-Mexican intern, I understand the challenges of navigating culture, identity, and mental health. I offer a compassionate, safe space where you can explore your feelings and learn tools—both evidence-based and holistic—to manage anxiety and trauma. Together, we’ll work toward healing and reclaiming your sense of peace and strength.
My Background and Approach
I’m a graduate-level intern therapist with lived experience growing up in poverty, navigating addiction and familial abuse, and surviving trauma from partners and family. As a first-generation high school graduate of Hawaiian and Mexican descent, I deeply understand the strength it takes to overcome adversity. These experiences inspire my commitment to provide a safe, nonjudgmental space where clients feel seen and supported. I specialize in trauma, addiction, and identity-related challenges, using evidence-based and holistic tools to empower clients to heal, build resilience, and reclaim their lives. My personal and clinical journey fuels my passion for helping others find hope and strength on their path to recovery and growth.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
I’m an active member and advocate within the LGBTQ+ community and proudly connected to my Hispanic/Latina roots, especially supporting organizations that empower Latinx individuals. I have volunteered at prisons, homeless shelters, and animal shelters, which has deepened my understanding of diverse life challenges and strengthened my commitment to compassionate care. Professionally, I have worked at a trauma outpatient facility and a community center focused on suicide prevention, gaining valuable experience supporting individuals in crisis. I have also completed group therapy programs addressing addiction, family trauma, abuse, and healing, which informs my trauma-informed and client-centered approach. I am passionate about creating inclusive, safe spaces where all clients feel respected, heard, and empowered to heal.
