About My Clients
I enjoy working with adolescents and young adults. I believe that therapy is beneficial to everyone. Being in therapy allows you to express yourself and heal in a judgment-free environment. My clients describe me as honest, open-minded, and understanding. I specialize in working with people who have a hard time understanding their thoughts or behaviors.
My Background and Approach
I received my Bachelor of Science in General Studies with a minor in Psychology in 2016 from West Texas A&M University. I received my Master in Counseling from West Texas A&M University in May 2020.After graduation, I began volunteering with a nonprofit and provided group therapy to grieving children. During my internship I also gained knowledge of Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (TFCBT) and assisted adolescents in processing their abuse. Additionally, I have helped people with their depression, anxiety and emotional responses.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
Oftentimes we do things and we are unsure why and I can help you understand that about yourself. I became a therapist because growing up I was in need of someone to speak to and I did not have that opportunity. Asking for help is scary and it is hard, but I feel when you are more comfortable discussing your thoughts and feelings with someone who has also been where you are-it is a lot easier! In my spare time I enjoy reading, crafting, crocheting, binge-watching Netflix, baking, and taking my dog to the park.
