About My Clients
If you're struggling to cope with depression, anxiety or trauma, I can help you navigate these feelings and offer a path forward. This can look like learning social emotional skills, coping skills, and how to use effective communication for getting your needs met. I have worked with the youth population and have a diverse background including people with trauma, crisis, depression, anxiety, grief and loss and disruptive behaviors.
My Background and Approach
My clients typically tell me accomplishments they are proud of and their families explain how they have supported and observed changes in my clients' actions to feel better. I believe in a trust based relationship and meeting with clients where they are in their path to achieve success in their goals. Mostly, clients tell me they can't wait to learn and meet with me at each session to grow and obtain new skills to implement in their daily lives. I often use Cognitive Behavioral Therapy and in your first session we'll explore what brought you to therapy and then decide the most appropriate ways to help you make progress. Along with CBT, I also use play therapy techniques for the younger folks to identify themes and navigate with you what goals to achieve in therapy.
