About My Clients

Nature and animal lovers will find peace and joy at the 40 acre ranch where in person sessions take place. Horses, alpacas, sheep, cats and dogs are available for animal assisted sessions, and walks around the property are the perfect setting for mindful sensory practice. If we connect online, I hope you will find a warm, engaged and open minded partner with whom you can share your challenges, set intentions, and gain tools and insight toward meaningful change in your life.

My Background and Approach

Twenty years into my career in social work and public health, I discovered the power of working with horses and other animals in therapy sessions. These relationships can provide a window into how we connect more broadly to our life experiences. Whether clients have sessions online or at my ranch, my work focuses in on this connection - to ourself and to others. I am a lifelong learner, and hope to always be curious and open about the human experience. I do my best to bring my experiences of love, loss, trauma, resilience and awareness to every session and provide a space where clients can heal. My goal is for each client to create healthy connections to themself and others.

My Personal Beliefs and Interests

I believe and hope for a world in which human beings can live with empathy, kindness and compassion for one another regardless of country, race, origin, religion, gender, or ability. I believe that losing our connection to nature can result in attention difficulties and higher rates of emotional and physical illness. I have supported and volunteered for social and environmental justice movements for most of my life; volunteered at animal shelters, on hotlines, at city social service agencies, in classrooms, in nursing homes, on sports fields, and in hospitals. I've marched, walked and run miles for various causes. I am raising my own children the best I can to be global, aware, and kind people who know that we are only as strong as the most vulnerable members of our community. I maintain humble in justice and healing work and recognize that truly listening to others is always the best way to work together towards change.
